Change is everywhere in the world, from the technology we have in our homes to the way the busines world operates. In order to maintain our ability to participate in the world we need to keep up with the changes.

That is continuous learning and updating our skills and knowledge.

Learning Plans

The motivation to continually learn and develop new skills can come from keeping in mind the benefits:

  • Increased personal and job satisfaction
  • Better prospects for work and increased pay
  • To maintain confidence in your own abilities to participate in community and work activities

Learning environments can include:

  • Training at your place of employment
  • At home through audio/video tapes, internet or print material
  • Day or evening courses in a community or educational institution
  • Through personal experience, giving it a go or trial and error
