Occupational Therapy aims to maximise the safety and independence in your home. This is achieved by providing education about alternate ways of completing tasks and the use of aides and equipment.
The Occupational Therapist (OT) can also make recommendations for the home modifications service and/or referrals to other useful local services, such as a podiatrist.
The OT can show you different ways to do an activity to make it easier or safer, and trial equipment in your home such as shower stools, chair raisers, and dressing, cooking or eating aids.
