Community Connector
If interested, people can also be linked into a community connector in their local government area. This person will help connect them with local organisations who can provide ongoing emotional, practical or social support.
Corona Virus Hotline
Department Health and Human Services
People can now call the coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline on 1800 675 398 to receive emotional support if they are feeling lonely or disconnected as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19). The Australian Red Cross is the Victorian Government’s partner in providing this.
Eastern Suburbs Chat Line
Community Houses Assoc of the Outer-eastern Suburbs (CHAOS)
This free call service is open to anyone who feels lonely or disconnected due to the COVID 19 situation. You can chat with a volunteer Monday to Friday 9am – 1pm or Monday to Thursday 5 – 9pm. A regular weekly chat can be arranged.
